The aim of the Master’s Degree Programme in English (MEG) is to give learners a sound basis in language as well as a deep understanding of Literatures such as American, British, Indian English Literature, and New Literatures, such as, Canadian, and Australian, with the option to specialise in a particular area of interest. The learners are also expected to develop confidence in their critical and analytical abilities.
This 64-credit programme has a two-tier structure: two compulsory core courses over a period of two years and two optional modules. Each course is worth 8 credits.
MEG-05 is offered in the first year as a compulsory course, while learners need to opt for either MEG-4 or MEG 15 as a compulsory course in the second year. Two compulsory courses and two modules of 24 credits each to be chosen as per the learner’s area of interest.
